Info Posts is one of the posts elements that display on the home page. They have no image, and are intended to be used to display information about the site.

They are regular posts from a selected post type (page, by default).

  1. From the theme customizer, go to ‘Posts‘ -> ‘Info Posts
  2. Set the available options as needed
  3. Click ‘Publish’ to save

Available Settings

The following settings are available:

Number of posts

This sets the maximum number of posts to show in the info posts element on the home page. Set to 0 to disable the info posts element.

Heading

This sets the heading for the info posts element.

Heading icon

You may use this setting to add an icon (image) to the heading.

Post type

The post type setting is used to indicate the post type whose posts should appear in the info posts element on the home page.

For any post type that is chosen, a ‘Add to Info Posts‘ setting appears in the ‘Featured’ meta box on the edit screen of that particular post type.

Show excerpt?

Tick this checkbox to show the excerpt for each post. Untick to hide excerpt.

More link text

This sets the text to use for the read more link for all posts of the fearured posts element.

After title

Enter a comma-separated list of items to display after the post title. Such items include published_date, author_name, updated_date, comments_link etc.
