Jentil comes with six (6) page layout types, as follows:

  1. content: Single-column layout, no sidebars.
  2. sidebar / content: Two-column layout, one sidebar to the left of main content area.
  3. content / sidebar: Two-column layout, one sidebar to right of main content area.
  4. sidebar / content / sidebar: Three-column layout, one sidebar to the left, another to the right of main content area.
  5. sidebar / sidebar / content: Three-column layout, two sidebars to the left of main content area.
  6. content / sidebar / sidebar: Three-column layout, two sidebars to the right of main content area.

Note that the position of the columns may reverse when viewing page in Right-to-Left (RTL) mode.

Setting the layout

Layout for single, hierarchical post types that have no archives (eg: page) is set in the edit screen of that particular post type.

  1. While editing/updating a post of such post type, look out for the ‘Layout‘ meta box.
  2. Select the layout for that post as needed.
  3. Click ‘Update‘ or ‘Publish‘ to save post

Layout for archives (eg: categories, tags, post type archives etc), and single post types that are either non-hierarchical or have archives (eg: post), are set in the customizer:

  1. Go to ‘Layout‘ section in the theme customizer
  2. Select the layout as needed.
  3. Click ‘Publish‘ to save
