Jentil comes with six (6) page layout types, as follows:
- content: Single-column layout, no sidebars.
- sidebar / content: Two-column layout, one sidebar to the left of main content area.
- content / sidebar: Two-column layout, one sidebar to right of main content area.
- sidebar / content / sidebar: Three-column layout, one sidebar to the left, another to the right of main content area.
- sidebar / sidebar / content: Three-column layout, two sidebars to the left of main content area.
- content / sidebar / sidebar: Three-column layout, two sidebars to the right of main content area.
Note that the position of the columns may reverse when viewing page in Right-to-Left (RTL) mode.
Setting the layout
Layout for single, hierarchical post types that have no archives (eg: page) is set in the edit screen of that particular post type.
- While editing/updating a post of such post type, look out for the ‘Layout‘ meta box.
- Select the layout for that post as needed.
- Click ‘Update‘ or ‘Publish‘ to save post
Layout for archives (eg: categories, tags, post type archives etc), and single post types that are either non-hierarchical or have archives (eg: post), are set in the customizer:
- Go to ‘Layout‘ section in the theme customizer
- Select the layout as needed.
- Click ‘Publish‘ to save
